In 2000, TEAM Industries created an aftermarket division to develop, manufacture, and market performance enhancing products for the recreational motorsports industry. Many of the world's top snowmobile and ATV racers rely on our products for increased performance and durability, both on and off the track.
As part of a comprehensive and well-researched marketing plan for the aftermarket division, TEAM entered the world of professional racing. The 2001-2002 season was the inaugural season for TEAM Racing.
In our first season of professional snowmobile racing, TEAM Industries did exceptionally well in virtually every racing discipline.
TEAM's snocross racers captured 21 top three finishes and 45 top ten finishes, more than any other independent racing team. Shaun Crapo, racing semi-pro last year, placed an amazing 4th place in the Winter X Games Snocross competition against the top professional snocross racers in the world. This year he'll turn pro.
Hillclimb results were equally impressive with more than 40 top 3 RMSHA finishes and 5 "King of the Hill" titles. Legendary hillclimber and TEAM Industries racer, Rick Ward, captured the bronze medal in the Hillcross competition at the 2002 Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado.
In addition, TEAM pilots rallied for 28 top 3 finishes on the WSA Pro Ice circuit, and 19 top 3 finishes in Grass Drag competition in the 440, 500, 700, 700m, and 800 stock classes.
Consistent wins by TEAM racers helped make TEAM Industries a dominant name in ATV Racing in just one year as well. Dave Gordon won the Season Points Championship in open and Alex Jesness in the stock class in the Carver Performance Northstar Series.
