How A CVT Works

TEAM Industries has supplied CVT components and assemblies to OEM’s and aftermarket for more than 40 years.  We are the largest US-based manufacturer of CVTs, providing more than 450,000 clutches annually. TEAM designed CVT systems have led to multiple patents.   

TEAM has numerous design engineers and application engineers that are dedicated to the development and implementation of CVT technologies.  Our clutch offerings include four different primary clutch designs and eight secondary clutch designs.  Using the latest design tools (mostly developed at TEAM), duty cycles, and bench and field testing, TEAM can design and fabricate flyweights, springs, and helixes to properly tune CVTs to nearly any application.
