(Detroit Lakes, MN– July 19, 2011) The 13th Annual TEAM Foundation Charity Golf Tournament held on July 14, 2011 at Perham Lakeside Country Club hosted over 235 golfers and raised over $121,000 for TEAM Foundation.
Last year the tournament raised over $96,000 for local charities. With this year’s record breaking donations, the tournament has raised over $880,000 dollars in its 13-year history. The goal for next year’s tournament is to break $1 million dollars in total monies raised.
“The event was an overwhelming success, with a record breaking $121,000 raised. The most rewarding aspect is that through the help of very generous sponsors and tournament participants, a significant amount of money was raised to help our beneficiaries in the areas of education, healthcare and community,” said Tricia Young, President of TEAM Foundation.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo, Hospice of Clearwater County, LSS Senior Nutrition/Meals on Wheels (Clearbrook-Gonvick, Bagley and Park Rapids Sites), St. Joseph’s Area Health Services in Park Rapids MN, Early Childhood Education – School Readiness Programs and school technology in several MN locations.
